Design Brief
Moana Kaula is a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel and spa in the heart of Waikiki Hawaii. Our name, which means "sandcastle" in Hawaiian, is a tribute to the hotel's unique and earthy aesthetic, which features sandy, dark tones inspired by the natural beauty of the Hawaiian islands.
Our Boutique Hotel and Spa provides a serene and intimate environment for guests to unwind, rejuvenate, and indulge in personalized experiences that promote physical and emotional well-being

Logo
SIMPLE | HARMONIOUS | FLUID
The two waves symbolize the ocean while the circular sun symbolizes warmth, energy, and life. The combination of all elements creates a harmonious representation the hotel's dedication to promoting health and wellness through it connection to the natural world.
The three elements can also be seen as a person swimming - highlighting a main attraction of the hotel and hawaii.
Colours
The Colour scheme was chosen to evoke feelings of warmth and relaxation. A rich brown colour that can represent warm sandy beaches while also being rich, earthy and natural. Paired with a dark blue-green colour that gives a sense of calm and serenity.
